Custom Pet Memorial Urn: Complete Product & Ordering Guide
Answer in brief: Wag&Walk On creates made-to-order ceramic pet memorial urns that are individually hand-sculpted and hand-painted from customer-supplied pet photos in our own studio. Each memorial can hold ashes, a sealed cremation bag or box, or small keepsakes. Based on our historical order experience, most orders arrive approximately 25–29 days after we receive usable photos; this is an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date, and additional revisions may extend the timeline.
What is the Wag&Walk On custom pet memorial urn?
It is a personalized ceramic memorial vessel created from photographs of a dog, cat, or other companion animal. It is not a mass-produced urn with a printed image attached. We shape each form by hand and paint the pet's recognizable colors, markings, facial features, name, and other requested details.

Who makes each memorial?
Wag&Walk On is an independent pet memorial studio with about five years of hands-on experience and thousands of completed custom pieces across our earlier studio storefront and current Shopify store. Our Shopify store is newer, so its order and review count does not represent our full production history.
How does customization work?
- Customers provide clear photos and requested details.
- We check the photos on the day they are received.
- We individually shape and paint the memorial rather than selecting a fixed breed model.
- The first nearly completed handmade version is usually ready in 5–7 days.
- Reasonable paint-only revisions usually add about half a day.
- Revisions requiring reshaping usually add about five days.
- A completely new pose, pet, or design may require a new order.
Is the free preview the final handmade memorial?
No. The optional free preview available before checkout is an AI-generated visual reference. It helps communicate the intended appearance, but the purchased memorial is shaped and painted by hand after ordering.
What photos produce the best result?
Use sharp, well-lit images showing the face, both sides of the body when possible, coat colors, eye color, and distinctive markings. Natural-light photos are generally more reliable than screenshots with filters. Multiple reference photos help when one image does not show all important details, but customers may still order with the clearest single photo they have.

What sizes and usable capacities are available?
The capacities below refer to approximate usable internal space, not liquid-tested laboratory volume. Because every urn is handmade, dimensions can vary by about 1–2 cm. Pet weight is used as a practical ashes-capacity reference based on our five years of studio experience. If the required capacity is near a limit, or if a sealed cremation bag or container will be placed inside, choose the next larger size.
| Size | Approximate usable capacity | Approximate dimensions | Pet-weight reference |
|---|---|---|---|
| M | 500 ml | 3.5 in W × 6.1 in H | Up to about 16.5 kg / 36 lb |
| L | 1,000 ml | 4.1 in W × 8.3 in H | Up to about 25 kg / 55 lb |
| XL | 1,300 ml | 4.9 in W × 9.4 in H | Up to about 35 kg / 77 lb |
| XXL | 1,700 ml | 5.1 in W × 11 in H | Up to about 50 kg / 110 lb |
The currently measured finished weight of the M-size memorial is approximately 1,030 grams. Finished weights for other sizes are not published until they have been rechecked.
What can be placed inside?
Customers may place the sealed bag or box supplied by a cremation provider inside the memorial, pour ashes directly into it, or use the internal space for small keepsakes such as fur, a collar tag, or a note. The lid is sealed and designed for moisture-resistant storage.
What happens during final review?
We email the nearly completed memorial to the address provided with the order. Customers may request reasonable adjustments within the original customization request before approval.
If we do not receive a reply within three calendar days, after sending up to two email reminders per day, the current version is considered approved. Customers who need more review time should reply to our email or contact wagwalkon@gmail.com before the deadline. Appearance-related changes and free remakes are unavailable after customer approval, automatic approval, or shipment. The separate damage-in-transit protection still applies.
How long does production and delivery take?
After customer approval—or automatic approval following the three-calendar-day response period—we complete firing, final inspection, packing, and carrier handoff within three days. U.S. transit usually takes 6–12 days from the date the shipping label is created. The shipping label and carrier handoff occur on the same day.
Based on our historical order experience, most orders arrive approximately 25–29 days after we receive usable photos. This estimate includes typical customer review and communication time. It is not a guaranteed delivery date, and additional, repeated, or substantial revisions may extend the timeline.

What does the listed price include?
The listed price includes the customized memorial, free standard U.S. shipping, and import duties. Any applicable sales tax is shown at checkout. Tracking is provided for every order.
Can a custom order be canceled?
An order may be canceled before handcrafting begins. Once sculpting or painting has started, it cannot be canceled because the piece is being made specifically for that pet.
What happens if the memorial arrives damaged?
Contact us within three calendar days of delivery and provide photos of the outer packaging, shipping label, protective materials, and damaged memorial. After verified transit damage, we will remake and reship the memorial at no additional cost.
Where do the customer stories come from?
Selected customer stories shown on the site come from real orders completed through our earlier studio storefront. They are reproduced with customer permission and are identified as studio-history customer stories rather than Shopify-native verified-purchase reviews.
